A little update on this fantasy portrait I started a little while ago (this is not a beard but a metal jaw). [link]

so he has a metal jaw made of to look like fire? cool :)

oh hey question: do you prefer to model out hair in polygons? i was just a little curious about that for industry standards?

Cool update :)

I'm not sure about functional part of metal jaw though - is he supposed to talk/open mouth? :)
Cool

very cool update, he has that nice soft inflated feel to his folds and creases in his face that i like in a sculpt. Only comment is maybe his nose has a lot of flatness to it, I think if you rounded out the very end of the nose it would soften that hard edge... Just trying to sound productive rather then just nerding out on your sculpt hah
metal jaw? pretty cool my only crit is that the area where this jaw meets with the lips needs more definition

no need to thank me...just :+devwatch: me
Love it! I love the emotion you sculpted into the face. It's subtle but says so many things...he looks stately yet meditative at the same time. Btw, I just bought Assassin's Creed for PC, I can't wait to play it and find your models in the game! :-)

Quick question, ecause the character is kinda posed is it still possible to do symetrical sculpting on it? or did u get rid of that option when u posed it? Just curious because it'd help alot.:) Very nice sculpt by the way, the brow has nice form to it.
I really dig the sculpt - the hair does it for me every time!

great, but the metal jaw still looks more like an aristocratic beard. Maybe textures will make it look different/... Or maybe you need to redesign that somehow.
